Wealth Management

Delta Continental's investment performance owes its success to analysis and research. We simply will not commit our clients funds to an investment or a security until such time as we have exercised our high standard of due diligence to determine its suitability to our clients risk attitude and ROI expectations.

We employ two methods of analysis in order to arrive at specific recommendations for our clients. Both are as essential as the other to the long-term investment horizon applicable to the overwhelming majority of our clients.

Technical Analysis

Technical analysis is a way of evaluating securities by the study of statistics created by the movement in the price of the security. These statistics often include past prices and volume. Technical analysis does not attempt to measure the underlying security's intrinsic value but, instead, uses charts to identify patterns that can give insight into possible future activity.

The analysis seeks to identify the short-term price direction of the underlying security by scrutinizing its historical price trends and attempts to predict whether those trends are likely to repeat in the future. A technical analyst may, for example, observe the 200-day moving average and the 50-day moving average in order to flatten the day-to-day trading volatility. Then the analyst will identify price alerts in order to optimize entry into the market for that underlying security with a view to riding the trend in its price to profit.

Fundamental Analysis

Fundamental analysis is a way of evaluating securities that entails seeking to measure its intrinsic value by studying related macro-economic, financial and other qualitative and quantitative information. Fundamental analysts scrutinize everything that can affect the security's value, including macroeconomic factors, including the health of the overall economy and the condition of the industry in which the company operates as well as company-specific factors, such as financial health and its management.

Legendary investor, Warren Buffett represents a prime example of the level of success that can be achieved using fundamental analysis.
